Lake Clark Alaska Fine Art Print | Aerial Landscape Photography | Abstract Coastal Wall Art
### LAKE CLARK, ALASKA
An unexpected landscape discovered on the way to see the bears
From above, the Alaskan landscape becomes almost abstract.
Layers of water in shifting shades of blue, gray, green, and earthy brown meet around a narrow curve of dark shoreline. A tiny white structure rests along the land, providing a subtle sense of human scale within the vast landscape.
I captured this original aerial photograph through the window of a small plane during an August journey to Lake Clark National Park, Alaska, where I was heading for one of the experiences I had been most excited about — seeing Alaska’s coastal brown bears in the wild.
But somewhere along the way, I looked out the window.
And the journey itself became part of what I came home remembering.

##MADE FOR YOUR SPACE
With its muted blues, earthy neutrals, organic curves, and almost abstract aerial composition, this photograph brings a quiet, contemporary connection to nature into a space.
From a distance, it can read almost like abstract art — layers of color divided by a sweeping dark curve. Move closer, and the landscape begins to reveal itself.
The subtle colors of the water, textured shoreline, and tiny white structure invite a second look and create a sense of scale that is easy to miss at first glance.
Its horizontal composition works especially well above a sofa, bed, console, desk, or credenza, and complements interiors with natural materials, neutral palettes, and understated contemporary design.
Perhaps Alaska reminds you of a journey you’ve taken. Perhaps Lake Clark is somewhere you still dream of exploring. Or perhaps you’re simply drawn to seeing the natural world from perspectives we rarely experience in everyday life.
Whatever connects you to this photograph, I hope it reminds you to keep looking — even when you think you already know where you’re going.
Bring a piece of the journey home.
